Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation (MDMA)

About This Program

The program is a four-year undergraduate program.

This MDMA program at Zhejiang Normal University includes three major components: Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation,which are all closely combined with computer science, information technology and automatic control technology. In this program at ZJNU, we are more focused on advanced technologies of mechanical design, simulation analysis, numerical control processing andmechanical-electrical integration based on the basics of computer aided design (CAD),computer aided engineering (CAE) and computer aided manufacturing (CAM).

After the general first-year courses in mathematics, science, and basic engineering and then followed by second-year general mechanical engineering technical courses, you can also choose one of threemechanical engineering options:

1) Mechanical design and manufacturing

2) Electromechanical Control

3) Material processing and control

As a mechanical engineering student, you will learn to master the fundamentals of designing, analyzing, and operating mechanical systems.

All of the students are automatically enrolled in the Cooperative Education program, which augments university study with real-world practical experience in industry. Students in the Cooperative Education program enjoy a broad spectrum of job opportunities given Jinhua’s location in Zhejiang province’s manufacturing region.
